new releases 12.13
The year is grinding to a halt. One new release worth noting. That Beck album could have used a little shaking up, though. I'm intrigued.

Sorry for the lack of activity in these parts. I am in a bit of a strange zone of music listening; I have some box sets to catch up on and otherwise haven't listened to any new music that gets me excited enough to write (except for Kate Bush . . . I'll cover that soon). Do you need me to tell you that the Bob Dylan Bootleg Series v7 is absolutely essential? No; you either love him and you have it/are planning to get it, or more Dylan archival material is like a plate of lukewarm faeces to you.
I've also spent quite a bit of time with last year's Faces box set, which ends up proving that they were brilliant when inspired, but couldn't bottle enough of their supposedly fearsome live performances to make it essential to non-fanatics. Stick with their great album, A Nod Is As Good As A Wink To A Blind Horse and a few tracks from the others.
